Sandra H. Robinson is an experienced personal injury lawyer in Washington DC. As a medical malpractice attorney at Cochran Law Firm, Ms. Robinson handles catastrophic medical malpractice and personal injury cases. In her career, she has settled or won at trial six- and seven-figure awards for her medical malpractice clients. One year, she secured more than $20 million injury awards on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Robinson has served as president of the Civil Justice Foundation and also served as the first African-American president of the Public Justice Foundation. She was also a member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for justice. Additionally, Ms. Robinson has held numerous leadership positions among medical malpractice lawyers, including being a past president of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. (TLA-DC) and the current president of the Melvin M. Belli Society. Ms. Robinson recently received the TLA-DC Women’s Caucus award, named in her honor as the Sandra H. Robins Women’s Caucus Award. She is also a recipient of the Washington Bar Association’s Ollie Mae Cooper Award; the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia’s Star of the Bar Award; and the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practices Section’s Pursuit of Justice Award. As an active member of the DC and Maryland Bars, Ms. Robinson has coached moot court teams in the DC Street Law Program and continues to mentor students in the practice of law.
